Great news! The economy is down, finances are tight, and lessons are more affordable than ever!!
This year, I will be teaching with Disabled Sports USA, a nonprofit program dedicated to offering low-cost adaptive sports instruction.
Lessons will be at Alpine Meadows, where we have our own dedicated learning center, and on select days at Northstar-at-Tahoe.
Here are the rates, which include the lesson & lift ticket.
$65 for a 2-1/2 hr lesson at Alpine Meadows
$175 for a 5 hr lessons (9-3p) at Northstar* (* select days only)
As you can see, these lessons are 1/3 the cost of adaptive lessons at Heavenly Resort, where I worked the last 3 winters. Also, compared to a full price private ski lesson at other North Shore resorts, along with lift ticket, you are saving as much as $350!
Gear is rented separately. However, your child is entitled to 1/2-priced gear rental at the Alpine Meadow’s rental shop, or at Tahoe Dave’s. (I recommend you rent locally if you’re staying for more than 1 day in case there are equipment changes needed.)
